My First Tennis Lessons - The Extraordinary Voyages Series — For Ages 3-5
This is the complete Box series that integrates all the books of the 9 book dual language (English-French) series, My First Tennis Lessons as well as 32 Mission stickers. My First Tennis Lessons is a system that teaches all the tennis fundamentals by taking children on adventures with Emma, the main character in the stories. The children will be guided to perform a total of 32 animal rescue missions.
The books included are:
Intro Book - Emma and the Magic Rainbow (parent's guide book)
Book 1 - To the Rescue of the Little Dog
Book 2 - Voyages Around the World
Book 3 - Emma Visits Paris
Book 4 - Emma at the Photo Studio
Book 5 - Emma and the Magic Flying Carpet
Book 6 - Emma Learns the Rules
Book 7 - Emma Flies to Rio de Janeiro
Book 8 - Emma, the Clown and the Candies
In these books, Emma will lead children to different cities across the world to help some animals. While traveling, the children will be required to perform 4 missions. Each mission requires learning a tennis stroke, with emphases on a review of a few of the strokes learnt during the year, which they will be performing with ease because it is all a part of the story.
To ensure your child's success in performing the missions, use the companion age-adapted Le Petit Tennis equipment also available through Amazon.com (search Le Petit Tennis).
Le Petit Tennis (LPT) is the brainchild of former ATP and WTA tennis pros, Jean Philippe and Sybile Fleurian. With their two daughters in mind, they founded Le Petit Tennis in 2001 with the goal of teaching tennis to very young children. They crafted the curriculum with sports psychologists, child development specialists and tennis trainers from the French Tennis Federation.
LPT is a visual story program that helps children ages 3-8 discover tennis through a series of engaging stories while traveling across countries and cultures. LPT uses adventure stories in tennis lessons to encourage children to play with imagination while becoming more intense in the drills. The stories, images and role play components allow for better communication with children and maximize their attention span and focus.
Instructional Training Package for Parents - LPT also offers a comprehensive instructional training video and manual for parents to learn all the tips and techniques to successfully teach tennis to their child using the LPT story booklet series. See the Le Petit Sports website for more information.
LPT programs are taught in over 20 countries through subsidiaries, licensees and partnerships. The programs can be found in sports/tennis clubs, international resorts/hotels, parks/recreation centers, primary schools and childcare centers. National tennis associations are now using or endorsing the system or some of its features to reach young children through the interactive stories. Large non-profit and non-governmental organizations use the program's powerful messages to promote universal core values to underserved children.
What Parents Say about Le Petit Tennis

"My child loves playing tennis! After receiving the My First Tennis Kit, he played non-stop with his racquet and the inflatable My First Tennis ball against the wall. He also slept with his racquet for a whole week!" – Cecile F. from Rennes, France
"I need another ball right away! My child has been playing with her ball and racquet all the time but a spike popped the inflatable ball. Since she has not been able to play, she has been crying and asking for another ball." – Monica Q. from Sao Paolo, Brazil
"With the First Tennis Lessons Booklet series, my husband has gotten more involved in teaching my 3-1/2 year old son to play tennis. It proved to be a helpful tool for him to communicate better and in a fun way with our child." Yael B. from Tel Aviv, Israel
